Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay champion. She currently competes in the UFC Flyweight division. She is older than fellow UFC Fighter and Former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko was the first to start fighting sports by becoming an Muay Thai Kickboxer. Shevchenko made her debut in the IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals with a unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko won a second medal in 2007 and a bronze medal in 2008 and a gold medal in 2011 and was crowned the IFMA Amateur World MuayThai Champion in 2016. Antonia was first introduced to the professional world in with her debut in 2003. She was the winner of at the world championships for light Welterweight at WKC in in 2012 as well as the Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships 2016, and the WMC World Championships and the Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's final bout took place at the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. She won with a majority. Antonina Schevchenko set her professional MMA records in 2002, when she took on Anara Bazanova at KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She won 3-0 following in the second round TKO. The next two bouts were won by WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko took a short absence from MMA and focused on her boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 against Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko won against Anissa by unanimous decision after which she beat Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She left the club and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina used superior striking to TKO Nievera by knees to her body during the final clinch. Antonina was offered the UFC invitation following her win. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hitters Finale against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modeafferi with an unanimous decision. She then fell in her second fight due to an unanimous verdict. Antonina recovered from this defeat by beating Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler via a rear-naked choke submission. The result earned her the prize of fight-of-the-night. Shevchenko fell to Katlyn as well as Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights. She won over Ariane Lipski, but was also defeated by Ariane. Antonina has recently been knocked down by a TKO in the second round, losing to Casey O'Neill, at UFC Fight Night Santos Vs. Walker.
